Last Friday I enjoyed a wonderful night out at the 2013 Great Ogeechee Seafood Feastival in Richmond Hill, Ga with my friends Erica and Courtney and Courtney's son Aiden. It was such a nice night out. We were able to enjoy music, Aiden enjoyed the rides and games, but most importantly, we enjoyed the food! Mmm. Living In the Coastal Empire, seafood is a way of life.

It's a southern thing.

The makeup look I am sporting was adapted from one of my favorite makeup artists, Jackie Aina better known as lilpumpkinpie05 on YouTube and the author of the blog, Make Up Game On Point. To get this particular look, click the link >>here<< to watch her step by step tutorial. Jackie's look is very daring and dramatic and isn't particularly what you would think of as a day time or early evening look. I softened it a little so it was a little bit more appropriate for the occasion.

Now to the festival! I feasted on shrimp and grits, snow crabs, and lemonade. As my friend Alexis would say, "Mm, it's so good. Have some!"

His costume read, "Eat more fish."

  2. Thanks, Lex. It was pretty cool. My first time going. I do plan to go back next year. If I'm still around. ;-)

Let me know what you think! But please be nice. Being negative is just no fun. K?
